J.C. Newman Cigars, founded in 1889 by Julius Caesar Newman, is the oldest family-owned premium cigar maker in America. The company moved to Tampa in 1954 to focus on premium cigars, utilizing the historic El Reloj factory. Partnering with Carlos Fuente in 1990, they expanded into the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, creating notable brands.

J.C. Newman Launches Tampa Smokers Cigars at Tampa Baseball Museum

On February 27, a sold-out event at the Tampa Baseball Museum celebrated the launch of J.C. Newman’s Tampa Smokers cigars, attended by former Rays Managers. The cigars honor Tampa’s baseball history and will be available to 200 retailers by Opening Day. Proceeds supported the museum’s preservation efforts.
